My family came on the ship too and recall the huge wheat mound at the wharf, we stayed at Yungaba , I remember at night people throwing what I assume were empty beer cans/bottles from Story Bridge which landed close [as I was 9 years old at the time I might be wrong ] also porridge the next morning tasted like sawdust . My family name is not on your list either [Newman ,there were 9 of us . including my older married brother + wife +kids ] nor our friends the Potts , We moved to Redcliffe and then life continues . cheers , was nice to read , Alan
