The road north of Linville to Monsildale Creek Road is narrow and unpleasant.
North of Monsildale Creek Road it is pleasant because you follow the Brisbane River for quite a way, crossing it many times.
You might want to consider starting at Nanango. Ride east down Mount Stanley Road to Western Branch Road – this is an awesome descent. Then ride south down Western Branch Road to Linville. This is a beautiful ride. From Nanango to Linville should take you about 4 hours.
This area is much nicer after rain. At present it is dry and dusty. There is not much water at the crossings.

Is it worth riding from the Linville pub to the junction and return ?

Looking at doing a multi day ride down the length of the BVRT and wondered if spending an extra day in Linville to ride out to the junction was worth it ?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
