G’day Ian
Thanks so much for getting in touch.
Yes, I remember you and Jan, although it’s a bit of a blur. You were heading south I think, while we were returning to Esk. I still don’t know how I managed to pedal those last few km’s, but I was glad Eric was with me.
How did your trip go?
We’ve seen some amazing places since we met up, so if you’re ever back in this part of the world, please get in touch (or download one of the track logs on this site and see where you end up 🙂 )
My knee still gives me a bit of bother, but ironically only when I’m walking, not while I ride.
I hope we catch up again some time!
Neil

So good to see you return to and dismiss those demons from your previous mishap.
It has been a real delight to follow your recuperation and return to leading such fabulous and inspiring rides.I would love to hook up for one when I’m over your way some time. It was a very memorable meeting on the fatefull morning when we bumped into Eric and yourself on the BRVT. You were not a happy chappy so may not remember Jan and myself,Ian a couple of Kiwi interlopers.
Thanks again for the inspiration
Regards
Ian

Hi Peter.
Thanks for all the care you’ve put into the trail.
The sandstone blocks on the crossings are great, and much safer than the old wooden sleepers.
It just gets better and better 🙂

I trust You liked the fact that I have removed all but a few step overs at the road crossings. I believe they were an unnecessary evil, presenting yet another hazard, damaging people’s bicycles, some horses didn’t like them. Much more user friendly without them. I intend to in my spare time, erect some shady rest seats with the poles.

Shalom

P.K.
