We are considering doing this on Sunday. I was looking at the route and at about the 1 hr 48min mark it looks as if there is a forest track which runs East which would have hocked in along a ridge line to about the position you were at the 2 hrs 27 min mark. Do you recall if the track conects through at this spot?
