Jason, Powerful Owl is a tough climb, but a lot of fun to ride down. Sometimes I think walkers don’t realize how difficult it is on steep descents. When they’re gazing at you like a deer in the headlights, you need to yell out “I can’t stop” at them. That will get them out of the way – but remember to say “Thank you” as you pass 🙂

By: jason reed /monsildale/comment-page-1/#comment-5182 Tue, 14 May 2013 09:47:03 +0000 http://blog.neilennis.com/?p=3751#comment-5182 All good channel Neil News (thats what i was calling you to the other guys when you were up ahead taking pics ;)) great pics and well written description of the ride, i learned how to ride Epics now, just have a bit of Lefty withdrawal.I used it again sunday arvo with a short ride up powerful owl trail kuta, Garmen said 38% the steepest section, so had to walk it, but coming back down rear wheel was sliding and breaks squeeling, can’t believe some female walkers just stood there ground and only moved out of the way at the last moment – standard 😉
