Pete – I hate it when my camera lets me down. It’s happened with a few of my previous cameras. My current camera is a Sony TX-30. Waterproof, shockproof, 18 megapixels. It does what I want and I love it. It can do “burst mode” which is great for action shots. The only drawback is that after taking 10 “burst mode” shots there’s a delay of several seconds before you can take any more photos. The sound quality for videos is a bit poor too. But it’s perfect for taking good photos while riding a bike 🙂 It cost me just over $300.

My Olympus waterproof camera isn’t cutting the mustard. Nothing like the standard of my unfortunately broken Canon. I wonder if I can get that fixed for a fair price – else it’s time for a new compact.
