The ride to Widgee is very scenic.
There’s still a fair bit of road between Widgee and Gympie, but it’s better than going on the highway.

This is in my backyard (well kind of) and I grew up riding my bike on rough tracks in the forest around Wondai. Often to secret yabbie holes. There are still a lot of local residents who are very against the Rail Trail for some reason and don’t understand how it will bring visitors to our region. I think your post says – and shows – it all!
