On our recent holiday to Rainbow Beach, we saved the best ride till last. This loop out to the freshwater lakes, and back via Double Island Point must surely be one of the most spectacular rides you can do.

Kingaroy
The aim of today’s adventure was to find an enjoyable off-road route between the South Burnett towns Kingaroy and Yarraman, linking up two historic railway lines.

Bernie and Eric make amazing pizzas. They also live close to some fun mountain bike tracks. When Eric suggested we ride locally, then come back to his house for home-made pizza, beer and a swim, how could we refuse?
Chicks Who Ride Bikes
“Brisbane Chicks Who Ride Bikes” is an online community of over 1,400 women cyclists in the Brisbane area. A few months ago I was honored to be one of few men invited to join their community. Today I tagged along on one of their mountain bike rides in Samford State Forest (colloquially known as “Ironbark” in the MTB community).

I love the feeling of freedom that comes with riding on the sand at low tide. The endless stretch of sand, and the gentle roar of the surf keep me coming back.
Today we decided to come back to Bribie Island.
