Bernie and Eric make amazing pizzas. They also live close to some fun mountain bike tracks. When Eric suggested we ride locally, then come back to his house for home-made pizza, beer and a swim, how could we refuse?
“Brisbane Chicks Who Ride Bikes” is an online community of over 1,400 women cyclists in the Brisbane area. A few months ago I was honored to be one of few men invited to join their community. Today I tagged along on one of their mountain bike rides in Samford State Forest (colloquially known as “Ironbark” in the MTB community).

I love the feeling of freedom that comes with riding on the sand at low tide. The endless stretch of sand, and the gentle roar of the surf keep me coming back.
Today we decided to come back to Bribie Island.
It was raining on Saturday Morning, so we decided to keep driving west until the rain stopped.
We drove for almost six hours and ended up in Leyburn, west of Warwick, on the Southern Downs.

Fat Bikes are fun. Global Fat Bike Day (#GFBD2015) is an opportunity for people around the world to celebrate that fun. In this part of the world, we decided to start our Fat Bike party at Coolum.
We’ve seen some stunning sights in the Scenic Rim over the last couple of years, and wanted to bring more of our friends here. There is too much to see in one day, so we spent a whole weekend exploring this wonderful place.
Plunkett Regional Park is a magnificent nature reserve near Beenleigh, boasting rocky outcrops, caves, rare plants and animals, and kilometres of challenging trails. Aaron has spent hundreds of hours exploring the park, and kindly offered to show us around.
